My old DGQ AAA Titanium just stop working… Is any way to contact George to see if he can fixed? Thanks
doubt that!
I talked to him right around the start of the pandemic thingy. He had a few Tiny 18650’s I was going to buy but he didn’t have a way to get them shipped out. Reached out a year later and nothing, crickets. I think he might be out of the game.
Maybe someone else knows a better way to get ahold of him.
I am sure you have tried cleaning all the contact points. Mine get kinda wonky sometimes when dirt and debris build up on the ring around the driver or the thin edge of the tube where it makes contact. A good cleaning and new lube on threads get me going again.
Hope it’s not something catastrophic. I love my DQG lights. Anytime I see one for sale I just can’t stop myself from buying it.
Thanks for that tip, I dont try cleaning up, and the contacts and threads, It was just fine, one day I change the battery and stop working. i will clean it tonight…
some of the dqgs have terrible switches - maybe yours suddenly broke
or could be your charger or battery - try another one of each one
tiny 18650 had a terrible switch!!! it worked until it fell off the pc board
His is that little twisty AAA.
I have had and still have quite a few Tiny 18650’s. Seems to be a 50/50 shot of getting a broken switch. Still got all of mine cranking along. Super samll EDC light. Still us it almost everydsay.
My DQG Tiny AAA IV is still working, and I think it is a great design. However, I don’t use it very much because I have so many lights with more interesting features, and because the beam on mine has an unfortunate tint.
For keychain use, I switched long ago to a Cooyoo Quantum SS, which is smaller and has a nicer beam and is easier to charge. But I feel like I should also use the DQG because it’s really good for a AAA light. I particularly like how they made sure it can still tail stand with the key ring attached. Great attention to detail. It’s unfortunate that DQG isn’t around any more, because I think their designs would be even better today.
