Did I fry my lumintop GT mini?

My son was looking for some AA batteries and unscrewed the Mini and left it on the counter when he saw the size of the battery in it. I screwed it back together, it flashed when the battery made contact but would not turn on. I tried a couple other batteries and they would not flash at contact or turn on. I had just charged up these batteries last week. The batteries are LG BMJ and they worked fine, but are flat top. I also tried another LG that is button and protected. I don’t think any of my batteries are rated for more than 10A but all were working with the light. This light is came used in the box, neutral white and worked fine all week. I tried the 4 presses for lockout and still nothing happens. If my son tried the battery the wrong way, is the protection in this light for reverse polarity?

Make sure the head is screwed on to the tube properly as well as the tail cap?

And make sure the head and especially the tail cap is screwed on tightly. I have three of these minis that require the tail cap to be super tight in order to work.

Wow - you guys are awesome! I wasn’t really aware that the tail cap was a separate piece, the main body was unscrewing from the head. The tail cap was maybe 1/100 of a turn loose. When I tightened it up, I got 3 or 4 flashes and now everything works perfectly. I can’t say enough good things about this light. I’ve always preferred floody to throwy, and the big monster throw cannons seem useless and impractical to me. This is the most focused beam I have used, too much spill in some lights really detracts from how far you can see.

Also, a learning curve, I usually prefer cool white lights, but in a thrower, can really appreciate the neutral white. I do have a couple FT03 on order and wonder if I should have not ordered cool white…

Yeah, my gf’s SP10 started acting up, then not acting at all. I made sure the tailcap was on tight, but even I overlooked the head possibly being loose. Snugged it up tight, worked fine.

One of my i332s also had a finicky tailcap, thought one I just bought a little while ago was borken, DOA. The O-ring was reeeeeeally tight, and yeah, I had to crank it silly to get it to make contact. Perfect after that.

Always check the tailcaps and heads, and the retaining rings on the switch and driver. Make sure they’re all cranked stoopit-tight before going any further.

Can I also ask, the batteries I noted above, would I see better performance with a 30Q? The reason I ask is, my light does not get hot or even warm at all. I can leave it on turbo for as long as I like. Just wondering if I’m not feeding it enough juice?

You got to make sure everything is screwed on tight for correct contact points.
