just modified the original driver of my TR-J18. I now got 2A to the LED’s and 15A on the tailcap
It got extremely bright! it totally outshines my SRK’s (was a bit dimmer originally)
and it defomed the spring mounted on the driver in a few secs :~ guess the switch is the next to go
Yeah now you need to beef up the parts that handle current, haha.
THough I think maybe going down a little might be good for longevity
I recommend to add a piece of wire to the spring or instead of it…
For sure add some wire to the springs. It sounds awesome. If mine was driven that hard, I would have kept it.
Yep, just add some desoldering braid to all of the springs.
Hey, can anyone of you tell or take a look out of your tr-j18’s that is it possible to rewire the leds? I’m planning to also mod it’s lighthead to be a part of my diving light. Only that I would rewire the leds to be in series and drive it with this driver
Should give huge amounts of light even under water.
