Yesterday afternoon I placed an online order with Digikey. $25 and asked for FedEx ground ($8). I got a notice from them last night that the order was shipped. They are usually very fast like that, so nothing unusual there. This morning they emailed an apology to me; said that due to something they did, the package missed going out, but would be shipping today. FedEx has confirmed they have the package and it should be delivered Tuesday.

The unexpected part is that Digikey has waived the shipping fee for this order. There are some other sellers out there who should take note on how to treat customers after they place and pay for an order.

What? You didn’t get offered 5 DigiPoints… after you submitted pictures, video, more pictures, more video, etc.?

I’m shocked! Business around the world will now collapse!

I haven’t had one single problem ordering from Digikey. Good to know they’ll take care of it if I ever do.
