I scored a deal on a TM28 flashlight that included the Nitecore IMR 18650s and the spare Nitecore NBP68HD battery pack and so far, I really enjoy this light and battery pack.
While it’s a bummer that this light is not USB rechargeable or USB C rechargeable, at least it’s 12v dc rechargeable- that’s convenient enough. I imagine it’ll most often be recharged on my off road/camping adventures with my solar battery bank build.
The charger is very basic, 12v socket and soldered wire connections that Y’s to both a 3.5mm and 4.5mm connector, (one for the flashlight input and one for the battery pack’s “rapid” input (has both 3.5 and 4.5 low/high amperage input jacks). I used the heaviest gauge wire I had that would fit inside some paracord jacketing.
The socket is fused at 7.5amp.
