Do you know this led?

Well, I apologize if there is already a thread on it, but I haven’t found one…

I was browsing on DX website, when I saw this led : http://dx.com/p/lg-3535-3-20mm-3w-240lm-3200k-led-warm-white-emitter-board-for-flashlight-silver-white-226653#.UtldGbTjK70
(also exists with 16mm board)

The specs are pretty appealing to me (I love warm tints), even if 240lm @1,5A (I guess) is rather inefficient, even for a very warm tint. It looks a bit like an Osram Oslon :quest: No need to say that I ordered one to try.

So the question is, does anyone here had the opportunity to play with this LG led? I am probably not the only one who was appealed to try it, but I haven’t been able to find any real information regarding LG led…

XR-E?

Looks alot like the shape of the sipik-68 die in its throw mode

It's an LG 3535 as the title says

Of course it’s a LG 3535 (you can find datasheet here : http://ledlighting.lginnotek.com/download_all.jsp?fileName=support/new_download_center/Product%20Family%20Data%20Sheet_3535%20Ceramic%20Series(3W).pdf )

In fact it is not as inefficient as I thought, datasheet states 325lm @1,5A for the 3000°K version. Not as efficient as XP-G2 or even XP-G of course, but not that bad.

I guess I’ll let you know what it looks like when I’ll get mine, I’m always curious about exotic leds, looking for light quality rather than quantity

I have a couple lights with the LG3535 modded in them. its not a bad emitter, but seems to be best in a standard reflector. im a Aspheric the focused beam seems to have a blue hallow from it.

Good to know
I wonder how it’ll compare to the Osram Oslon 95 CRI I ordered a few days ago 0:)

I havent tested the Osram oslon yet.

Nice..thanks
