I’m stupidly infatuated with the shape and styling of the Spyderco Polliwog, but it’s discontinued. The only clones I’ve been able to find are the SR Columbia knives but word is they’re low-quality. I’d swallow my pride and get the one in the link but the detailing on the handle and blade scream “dollar store,” and the stainless steel model appears to be discontinued as well.
Is there any hope for me?
SR are indeed low quality, I have a medium and large Kershaw E.T. clones from them, as a curio nothing more, they are poorly made.
True Utiliy make something similar but quality isn’t good. Better than SRColumbia though.
They used to be all over AliExpress but I’ve just skimmed through 30 or more pages, checking every forth page and there’s not one. I’m looking for something on there myself so I’ll keep my eyes open.
Had a good laugh at a “Spyderco OEM Navy K633S” and a couple of others that obviously thought that etching SPYDERCO along the blade made it so, just like the several knives with a spider on the scales - obviously it’s a Spyderco, it’s even got a spider on it.
There are some really good looking clones but no Poliwog.
