I just started using ExoDOS. So far I really like it.
For anyone unfamiliar, its a pretty complete set of DOS games with environment to run them in. 700G download. 7000 games.

I never actually tried to race, I just loved driving backwards and causing massive pileups.

I used to emulate and play old games all the time.
Now, I’m spoiled by fancy 3D graphics, and I almost always play fairly recent games that have impressive 3D graphics. 
I mean, gameplay is still king, but I try to find great games that are somewhat new.

Huh. So it’s an optimized bundle of games paired with Dosbox, is that right? Sounds like fun. I wonder if it has any of the old LucasArts games like Day of the Tentacle.
I beat DotT.
The game is very funny, but it’s so incredibly difficult, it’s almost impossible to beat without consulting a walkthrough over and over and over again.
Meanwhile, I was able to beat Maniac Mansion without ever looking at a walkthrough. 
DotT and Sam & Max ate my two favorite from the company. Been ages since I played anything new, but it was great just roaming around and exploring, with no time limits.
