Hi guys. button of DQG 26650 got broken.

I`ve searched it at ali, no success. does anyone has any idea where i can find such button?
it is 4 pin. arrrow shows where shoud be moving plastic part that broken.

i wrote to manufacturer, but got no responce at all, so i ask for help here (

I’m sure it is out there but a better picture is needed if you want help with the search.

4-pin 6*6mm Pushbutton Switches (100-Pack) @ FastTech

Quite likely one of these standard pushbuttons.

Cheers

No, it is a side-mounted switch.

Maybe you could keep the base and replace the internals from another switch? It would need some modding.

I had one broken from the factory. In fact it was completely gone. Banggood sent a whole new driver.

If you find a button that would work, I’d be interested in one too, to get this broken driver working.

edit…

I found these vertical switches at Mouser. Omron makes a few thousand different switches

Try searching the major online electronic components stores like mouser, digikey, jameco, arrow, and newark looking for a tactile switch. The rating will not matter as the current is very low in our flashlight drivers. If you can find the particular one you have, do a search for the manufacture part number. Sometimes parts end up in unlikely places you never thought to look in your own country.
It will also help to narrow your search if you can measure with calipers the size of the old one.

Wow, that’s nice. I wrote them a few times in the past, but never got a reply.

If you replace the switch, I suggest to glue it in to place with a (semi) permanent adhesive in the flashlight’s head. I used Sipik, the buttons tend to break after a while due to stresses on the board solder joint.

you mean to glue button to driver or to glue driver to heead?

After resoldering, glue button to driver. I don’t think you have enough access to glue the button to the head.

yeah, that`s what i also thought to do. thermal glue would be simplest way, but it`ll get melted with 1st use (

2K epoxy would be good, but you can never remove it again. Sipik is better than nothing I suppose…

I would not recommend 2K epoxy, as it shrinks while curing and will put stress on covered components. I had done this to a flashlight once and when I dropped it all components sheered off.

My recommendation for this is either some pmma glue or silastic compound, while latter is even great for potting electronic components. (Just look for „703“ or „704“ glue on the web)

Every switch you could want for $16 at Aliexpress.
I need #10 to fix mt Rofis MR30.
