Driver for 3 LEDs from 1 cell

Hey,

is there any 1-cell powered driver than can operate 3 LEDs in series at about 1A?

Curious, wouldn’t 3-XML parallel arrangement and a 7135 driver work best? At 1A/ea you are severely under-driving the LEDs so the variation in Vf (… and the risk of overloading one LED) will not come into play. 10x7135 chips double stacked for ~3.5A output is an easy job for mod builders like Andi and E1320.

?

I dont want to drive XMLs. :D

Might end up with a parallel setup, just thought series would be better..?

I’ve thought about it, but the only solution I could come up with (apart from going parallel) is three separate drivers. Using a decent cell (I assume 18650 format), three separate 7135-style drivers should work. Yeah, I know, it’s big and messy. :frowning:

Beamtech BT-4000 or whatever it’s called uses one 26650/18650 battery to power 3 leds in series. I believe each LED gets ~1A each.
