I’ve been wanting to try the LD-35 with this emitter. I wonder if someone could test it with 4S emitters. The info I can find on the boost IC seems to indicate it should work.
A 4S emitter setup would indeed work according to the specs.
I just wish the current would be a little bit higher, around 2A sounds perfect in combination with the XHP35. (around 2300 lumens, maybe 2500 lumens?)
What happens if two boost drivers share the same load (in parallel)? I.E., Could two of these be wired to one LED to run it at 3A?
Also, right now I have a bunch of spare boost drivers that output over 2.5A per channel, and have 2-channel operation. It boosts 3S voltage to up around 20V/2.5A per channel. The problem the average person may find with this driver; it is 50mm diameter.
Hmmmm i could make your drivers work on a custom build i would have to build a light from scratch or maybe it would work in like a SRK style light. I am currently looking for a driver for my XHP35
Ah, I made a really dumb mathematical error once I looked at the wattage that sums up. It’s about 1.25A per channel, 2-channels. Not 2.5A per channel. Sorry. Those are rough numbers I figured out based on some efficiency fudge factors I made up and knowing input wattage. I’m still not sure that’s the exact numbers, but it should be relatively close. When I have a chance I will do a complete test to find the true values, as I know the drivers are capable of more power than they are running at.
