I have a Nichia 219 triple w/optics, and need a driver. It’s wired parallel…can I just use the standby Nanjg 2.8a driver that I have plenty of sitting around? I don’t know why not, but I’m no EE.
Yes, that will work.
I’m using a BLF17DD in my triple Nichia S3+. Love it!
…edit… you probably want them on a Noctigon if you are going to drive them hard.
219A or 219B?
Yes. Normal. 2800mA nanjg is fine.
I have a light with triple 219B's run at 3A each.
219a’s, and thanks for the comments!
You know wiring them in parallel with 2.8A total will only give to <1A per LED, you can stack chips for more.
Driver out I /# of LED’s = I per LED.
FmC, you serious? The nichias can handle that much current? Cool.
