I have two drop-in (screw ins) for a Trustfire 3T6. Was thinking about putting a DRY, Direct Drive in one, What do you think?
do it!
Wow, that thing really is direct drive. No buck circuit at all. With fully charged cells you should easily get over 4A. In the BTU it lists as 4.5A si I guess it would be around the same.
I should get one for my 3T6; the XM-L U3s in it are mounted on copper SinkPads already J)
Edit: Ordered
I have a small triple waiting for me at my dad’s.
It has the none step down dry driver…. J)
Can’t wait to post about that one. 8)
How about DRY driver into Skyray King?
So, old dumb me I did it. The only thing about Ric, makes you pay Postage, like almost 6 bucks…used to free post…spoiled… :~
Wont work in the king - dry driver is 12v, king is parallel, you’d have to series wire the king, deal with the electronic switch, then find space for the driver.
I ordered two on FFL, and had no postage. I will ask him to bundle with my DQG though. Save him some shipping, and I can wait for them.
