DRY Group BUY from cnqualitygoods.com

Chicago X

Are you still looking at making custom DRY mod piece's?

(I'm fairly sure it was you who mentioned it?)

I had the same experience. I sent Ric a message here on BLF. He responded the same day telling me that he had my order and not to worry

curious about the same thing.

Foy is probably busy with his bezel right now.

I was going to, but then posted up a thread abut why there are so few DRY failures instead.

I may do some modded or finned heads. Any interest?

Heads would be sweet! The light needs more detail or a different look. Very cool Idea

Hi Ric,

Thank you for arranging this group buy and hope it was worth your efforts. Package arrived (both lights and the two extra drivers). The only issue I have is that the six batteries I ordered were not included. I first thought they may have been placed in the light to save space but that was not the case. To confirm that I did not receive the battery, could you inventory your supply to see if you're six more than expected. I posted here to let everyone know the lights came in today. I'm sure the battery oversight was just a function of the high volume and demand; just really sad that I have to wait a little longer to shine the light canon. I'll follow up with a PM.

Thank you

id be interested.

how about a grippier(finned?easy/hard?continue head fins onto body/will make it even thicker) body tube.?

ok X ill be by on sunday to pick it up. im sure thats enough time for you to R&D and make a prototype. Just Kidding

+1 Head

+1 for a body tube, that'd be great.

I know the feeling, don't you have other batteries that fit? TF Flames 2400 will still be max bright when fully charged.

I do have old batteries that are of different vintage and manufacturers. I don't feel safe using them (though I may break down to "test" them) but since my wife will be using it I wanted fresh matching set.

Edit...A big thank you to JamesEarlJones for helping a fellow BLF-er. This is a great group of people when we're not talking politics

I see, you definitely can use low and medium modes. Use protected cells, you will be safe. Med ranges from just below 0.8A to 0.5A when low.

The item left Hong Kong for its destination on 20-Jan-2012

Wow! They only had to sit on it for two weeks before shipping! This is my reward for organizing the group buy

Regardless, it's kind of lame that they've sent some out for customers to already enjoy before they could even manage to ship the others. Am I right, Glenn?

I think Ric just got a little overwhelmed and some of the orders got lost in the shuffle for a little while. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. At least we can track our packages now, right?

Oh I'm not criticizing Ric on this one, especially since I was probably one of the initial buyers. I was putting the blame on the Post ;)

I have a feeling we might have lost on the customs lottery or some other technicality. I'm all for waiting patiently, but life is short and every week counts!

+1 more cooler but stay small

Got my Dry, arrived in good condition. All is well and the wow factor I was looking for (and did not find) with the Sky Ray is present and accounted for with this Dry. Those of you jaded by a large collection of powerful lights may laugh but this is only my second triple and the brightness is . . . . well, let me put a few numbers out there for you . . .

amps (3 x unprotected Panasonic 2350)

turbo - 3.65 step down to 2.05

high - 2.10

medium - .85

low - .17

Foyometer

with lamp in Foy's dimly lit office - 33

L2P/3-mode UF XM-L/T6 - 150 sag to 130

F15 ala E1320 - 167 sag to 161

Sky Ray 818 - 214 sag to 211

Dry - 427 sag to 410 (turbo, 410 is last reading before step down)

263 sag to 260 (high)

130 (medium)

52 (low)

Folks; this is what's known as, a bright flashlight. This thing is as bright on medium as an UF XM-L is on high. Even after it steps down it stomps a mud hole in the Sky Ray's buttocks.

good to hear foy! can't wait to get mine..next week for sure

Could anyone tell me how the light output/beam on the Dry compares to the TR-3T6?

There is now 2 version of tm11 on sale at hkequipment. T6 model now at $230 and T5 neutral at $260.

Why tell you when we can show you!

But also try to read through the rest of Pok's original post. He went through a lot of effort to post all of that information and it really is quite valuable.

EDIT: As _the_ pointed out that's comparing the DRY to the TR-J12. That's what I thought I read in your post. I think you'll easily be able to find good comparison photo's of the DRY vs TR-3T6 using the forum search.
