Got my DRY this morning. Protected cells fit in metal carrier, but real tight. Can't wait for nightfall to check this baby out.
PS: Glenn if you read this....you should be next to receive your light.

Still haven't gotten to test my DRY yet on fully charged cells, I put the sanyos it came with in it for a min but they were around 3.8v so I didnt use them much. They have been on charge for the last 4 hours and the voltage is 4.16 so its almost done.
When you get your DRY, first thing take your driver retainer off and check the screw behind your driver that holds your reflector in. Mine was so loose it was about to fall out on its own. I unscrewed it half a turn and it fell out, that would NOT be good for that to happen while using the light. (can you say fried driver / kaboom / smoke!)
I applied some loctite and fixed it up.
Great light though, cant wait to test it more. You can tell the quality is much better than other china brands.

ok got to test it out. it seems brighter than my fenix tk70 but doesn't throw as far. of course it's only brighter for 20 seconds until It steps down from turbo. it also gets very warm within the 20 seconds of turbo. my tail cap reading using the sayno cells that came with the light is 4.94 amps on turbo.
I used a dremel tool with a wire wheel @ 1,000 RPM to debur the threads on the whole flashlight. It's much smoother now.

I've only had my Dry for a few hours so I didn't inspect it too closely until this evening. I noticed on the surface of the reflector that there is an abrasion. The best way I can describe it is that it looks like it was rubbed with sandpaper. It's about 3/4" long and 1/4" wide and dull looking (not mirror shiny as it should be).
Is a flaw this size anything to worry about? Could it affect the beam quality being reflected out the front? Sounds dumb I know, but I'm not sure about this so it doesn't hurt to ask. I figure if it is a problem, I can ask Ric to send me a new reflector. Thanks.
Mine had finger prints on it , sounds like many have , bu when cu on we all can’t see it ,lol

Received mine yesterday. Sad thing is I can't test it now because I only have two 18650 with me for the moment

That's a chip in the reflective coating, my reflector also came with a small fingerprint and a small chip in the reflector, luckily the chip is on the very top near the corner, so it shouldn't effect the beam.

Received mine a few days ago. Over all the build quality is top notch. My only gripes are the chipped reflector and banged up bezel that completely took off the anodizing. Even though the bezel will eventually experience some minor abuse I'm a little disappointed. I'm not so sure I can blame that on the manufacturer though.

I hate to beat a dead horse but CNY celebration is over and it is 9am tuesday in china I think i should have already received some type of conformation. But I am here to ask what is reasonable. This week? next week? two weeks? Or is it ok for Ric to do whatever, whenever he wants?

Hi I took off the strike bezel and the glass and a small o-ring fell out before I could see were it went. The only place I can see it fitting is over the threads tight up against the main flashlight body with the strike bezel then screwed on. Is this correct? If the o-ring is supposed to go between the glass lens and the strike bezel I don't see how I am going to do it as the o-ring is now to small of a diameter after I put the o-ring around the threads of the main flashlight body.

What I am trying to say is the o-ring was the same size as the glass lens so I thought that it might be for weatherproofing between the glass lens and the front side of the strike bezel but when I put the o-ring over the threads of the main flashlight body it actually shrunk the o-ring. Does it go between the glass lens and the front side of the bezel or somewhere else?

I think the o ring goes between the glass and the bezel. For me it was difficult to get back on! One poster streched the o ring on a bottle and another warmed his up to get the ring to fit. I plan to eventually replace mine with one slightly larger.

I used a small watch repair flat head screw driver to push the o-ring into place while screwing the bezel down. worked great.

thanks, I think I will try to get a bigger o-ring. Other than the o-ring mine works well, no complaints.
