Dual purpose torch/safety wands?

Hey guys, fairly new member, long time lurker…

As the title kind of implies, I’m looking for a couple of torches with red wand attachments. I want something like the BLF A6 (currently own it and love it)

As of right now I carry the A6 and 2 wands with me every night (airline ramper) the wands are crap flashlights (AAA Walmart 10 pack 40 lumen variety) jammed into an orange (pvc) safety wand, provided by local airline management.

I’d like to bring my carry count down to 2 flashlights, similar to A6 in lumens, modes, size and battery type. I’d need the red wand top to detach so that I could still use it as a flashlight. It would have to be durable so as to not break during loading and unloading of bags, A6 holds up great so far.

I’d like it if the flashlight could charge via USB or charging cradle, but that would be a luxury and not needed. Maybe an outer charge indicator, like a blue ring around the button or in the tailswitch, again luxury not needed. A6 charge mode works great too. I’d love it if it didn’t break the bank, A6 price point was great, but if it’s worth the money I wouldn’t mind spending a little more.

Something like that would be great, except the diffuser has to be at least 6” in length 8” would be preferable.

Would I have to move up in torch size? Like maybe a solarforce l2?

I don’t know what your budget is, but it looks like Streamlight was thinking about you.

Not shilling, but I do like Streamlight, if I can afford them. Their torches are well made & the customer service is awesome. Their answer to pretty much every problem is, “Send it in, we’ll fix it.” So you do have to ship it in, but that’s not a big deal. They’re quick about getting your light back to you in pristine condition (even if the lens was smashed on gravel & the body was worn out) — for me anyway.

Check out the Fenix AD201 or AD102. They are diffusers that will likely fit your A6 with some slight tweaks.

That thing looks like a beast! I’d love to own a streamlight at some point as well, just can’t justify the price right now…

Maybe you can get them to divulge the diameter of the cone’s “mouth”, and perhaps make some adapter to get it to stick on your preferred torch? It’s definitely longer than you asked…

I took a gamble and purchased the Fenix Aot-s and hopefully it will fit the end of the BLF A6, ordered another A6 as well. If it doesn’t fit I’ll have to adapt it on there or maybe try the AD201/AD102
