Hi all,

I could really use your help with another project. I have been working for months and months trying to get some dummy cells made. I don’t want machined aluminum cores, what I want is just a stamped battery
case that is hollow on the inside. So far all of my efforts hitting up manufactures I can find selling batteries on alibabba etc have yielded no results. I am willing to pay all the costs etc this is not a group buy.

If anyone is willing to “head up” this project and find a place that can actually produce what I want (Most interested in the D cells but need the others too) I would be very willing to pay someone for their efforts getting this project off the ground!

If making the inquiries is not your thing I am still open to ideas on it if you have those as well!

How dummy cells do you want?

I have some contacts that actually do this.

They can make it in 18650 size, 32600 size(D cell), and 25500 size(C cell).

I would “like” 500pc of the D cell 300pc of the C cell and 200 of the 18650 all with button tops and covered with shrink. If writing on the shrink is possible I would take that also. If the MOQs are higher than that let me know and I will adjust.

At least one of them should respond.

So, none of my contacts are willing to build 26500 and 32600 sized spaces in “small” quantities since these are custom sizes.

For the 18650,26650 and 32650 cases,price is USD0.5/set,USD0.7 and USD0.9/set pls.

So 200sets,300sets and 500sets are all ok.

For the quotation,do you have a DHL express account number or not? If not, could you please kindly tell me your company name and address? We will send them to you by DHL.

However, to make a custom size like 26500 and 32600, we need min order qty of 10000 for each custom size, and it is unsure if it could be assembled for good price.

Basically, the contacts I have are mostly from manufacturers that make lithium ion cells, and the fully assembled cans of 18650, 26650, and 32650 are ready made to be assembled.
So, to get a custom design, you need a massive MOQ to justify making them.

There is one manufacturer that was willing to do this for smaller quantities, but the company’s been completely erased from Alibaba, and I haven’t received any emails from them.
Guess they closed down :frowning:

i guess that would be too much for a 3d printer. maybe find out where fireflies gets his adapters for the e07/pl47’s. possible to make them into what you need?

Based on this (and even knowing that this may not be the product you’re looking for) have you considered contacting Jaxman to get to their producers?

If they are willing to give you a quote on the D cell size at 10,000 pc I would be interested in that. I can’t really consider it for the Cs.

That design would work if they can do a large metal plate that covers the bottom. I messaged them to see what they say.
