Dummy Cell Setup for 6D Mag

Yep, I want to revive my 6D incan Mag! Only I need it to work with 1 x 18650, so I’ll need solid dummy cells that nicely and securely connect through the dummy cells and onto the tailswitch. I know some of you have these kits. Care to send me a quote on sending me one?

Check out https://lumencraft.com/ for just about any Maglite mod you could want.

Ages ago I needed a spacer for… forget which light, think it was a 2D… to use a single 26650, and got from a craft store what looks like a skinny pool-noodle in that crinkly foam like you stick fake flowers into.

2 washers, 10ga solid wire, poked through the tube and bent over to hold the washers in place, and it worked great.

2min to assemble, hardest part was finding the tube. A local Michaels might have it.

If it’s too long to reliably poke through the center as one long piece, just cut it into however many smaller cylinders.

Or just ask someone with a 3d printer, all you need then is a thick cable and two contact plates to extend the positive connection

If you really want to jump into the muck headfirst, check out my 2D build for the Old Lumens Challenge.

I did this before knowing about Lumencraft having battery adapters. That would have made life so much easier.

Thanks. Uh oh i think the fire has been rekindled

Yeh, they were The Shiite back then.

To go clubbing, you put the heavy stuff by the tailcap. And you never club with the head. You hold it by the tube right under the head so that when you swing, it doesn’t go flying out of your hand.
