Don’t mean to be negative in your thread saypat and thanks for the “head’s up” but anything that goes into any of my lights or any electronic device I’m partial to gets only lithium cells or rechargeable’s.
Man oh man, the horror stories I could tell about alkalines! In the distant past alkalines ruined so many lights and other devices I couldn’t count them. Now I know better.
Good deal, thanks. I mostly use rechargeables but believe in keeping a supply of alkalines on hand for emergencies like blackouts.
I have heard the stories as well friend. Never happened to me, however. And Duracell will replace the light if it happens, that says something, no? I use Eneloops but it’s nice to have these around for emergencies. I suppose if enuf people call it a duck it might just be one.

Thanks. Although I use eneloops in my lights, when I gift them I give them with Alkalines. For that reason I like to keep a dozen or so around.
I have to say that I have only had alkalines leak a few times in many years so it is not the problem some say as far as I am concerned.
When you gift a light do you give a charger and eneloops with it? I doubt it.
