E16Ti bezel help

Hi,

did someone manage to open bezel of Fenix E16Ti?

I’d like to swap the cool white emitter, but cannot unscrew it.

If it is like the small Olights, the bezel is not screwed but clamped. And it may be different here, but Fenix was always fond of glue…

All speculation though, not knowledge.

The CCT is not specified anywhere, so I assumed it is the same as regular E16 version. According to specs E16Ti is 650lm, E16Al is 700lm, so I don’t know why E16Ti is cool white :person_facepalming:

Aluminium E16 is marked as openable, now I have to figure how…

Well, send me one alu E16, I’m sure I’ll figure it out with a knife and a hammer
No Olight ever resisted me, but I don’t pay for them so there’s that.
I’m not sure I would have risked a 50+ bucks flashlight if nobody has done it before !
