Thinking of putting one of these in a 2D mag and then using 3 NIMH c cells, will this work? Has anyone done a 2D to 3C mag?
Do I need a shorter tail spring or can it be used upsidedown in the cap???
It says it only produces 400 lumens in a 3 cell maglight. At £32.50 ($40) that’s a lot of dough for 400 lumens.
I understand that some people love their mags but personally I would buy an entire new torch with much higher output for the $40.
Your probably right my M1 puts out over 800 lumens and only cost £27, but it would be nice to bring the old mag up to date……
how many cheaper lights have the durability of the mag?
Converted the old 2D mag to 3C, going to drop one of these in it.
If anyone wants to see white wall shots after let me know.

That drop in thing in your link didn’t seem too bad price wise, not when you see some of the prices out there for things like that.
Be interested to see how it performs.
Got a few old maglights and wouldn’t mind converting one or two of them with something like that.
