Following advice on cheap chargers for AA/AAA cells from forum members, I finally settled for this one…

45 days later, I received this one. Obviously, I think this one is for LION chargers and not AA/AAA one.

What to do with that??
EDIT: I see that it fits AA cells and AAA cells. But the item description on the product box/product itself is different. So is it an AA charger? Can I trust it to charge my AA/AAAs?
There's only on way to find out. ;)
Or if you want a serious answer just use a DMM to measure voltage, if it is 4.2 then li-ion, 1.4(something like that) then nimh.

What is a DMM charger? Are lion cells same sized as AA cells?
I mean a DMM, just a volt meter to measure the voltage. There are some lions that are the same size as AAs and AAAs. (14500 and 10440)
O man man man. So I need a volt meter which I dont have and feel bad about not paying the vendor. How do I test the voltage of this thing? Plug it in the AC and test one of its tip for voltages or something? I’ll try to get a brick and mortar shop to test that for me IF THEY AGREE that is….
Can't help ya there. You could just stick a nimh in and see if it works. Nimh cells can survive a lot of abuse.
What voltage should the charger be at for me to conclude its a nimh charger? 1.2 –1.5v I assume?
It's an "omnipotent standard charger", what could go wrong? 
Box copying is a standard in "cheap" world. The copier don't even know what they're copying. Hard to trust the box instruction for anything.
But since it fits only AA / AAA, I'm leaning towards that you're getting what you ordered. Li-ion cheap chargers are notoriously leaning towards 18650 and for those charger that can accept 14500 (AA), they made them with springy contacts so they still accept 18650s anyway.
So since this is AA only, good chance this is NiMH charger. But as scaru said, only one way to find out.
Ok What happens if its not a NIMH charger?
If it is a Ni-MH charger then you get your batteries charged.
If it is a li-ion charger it should detect undervoltage, cutoff the charge and nothing happens. (Of course this only happens if it's a proper li-ion charger.)
Bought this charger a year ago. Used it to charge NIMHs with no problem.

The box is in error. Quite a few examples of this model on eBay and other places, and none of them describe it as a Li-ion charger. I doubt very much that it’s anything other than what the original eBay listing states.

Gifted my chargers(had 3 of them) and is waiting for a replacement.
Recall that text on one of the boxes but charger was no different.
You can try charging only one battery since it is able to do that.

UPDATE: Tested it. Works FLAWLESSLY. Batteries didnot even get WARM. They stayed absolutely cool and power went out when they got charged. (50mah charge continues.)
As oppossed, my previous KONMOC needed about 12 hours to charge my eneloops and they were scorching hot when removed and smelling funny…Been doing that for one year (about 50 charges) 
I guess eneloops can take a lot of abuse.
