EDC, Wallet, Keys, Phone, Light, and Knife.

On my quest to find a new light to carry everyday i came across this forum that looks to have a ton of good info.

Like the subject line says, Every day i carry my wallet, keys, phone, light, and knife. I recently broke my favorite edc light in the exact same way i broke the last one and so even though it is an amazing light that fits my needs perfectly, i am on the quest for a new one.

This looks like a great place to do my research and i am sure i will get into some of the conversations as well.

I’ve carried an Arc AAA since the Loma Prieta quake — it’s just the right size to fit in a velcro triple fold wallet and attached to the wallet fabric with a little clip. an Energizer primary AAA lithium cell lasts many years.

There are newer and even smaller AAA lights. Someone will be by in a minute with pointers (or you’ll find the Search tool here quite responsive)

Hey Cereal Killer, It was the 5.11 TPT EDC Flashlight. It takes two AAA batteries and with the energizer ultimate lithium batteries would last quite a long time and still put out decent light. It was just the right size to fit in my change pocket in my jeans. I would use it at work quite a bit and lasted long enough, was bright enough, and just a decent all around size and shape that worked well for me.

The problem was that the little hinge on the battery cover eventually broke. When the first one broke i liked it so much i grabbed another one. Then the second one broke in the exact same spot. I just tried looking it up on Amazon and it appears they are discontinued, makes me wonder if this was an issue for more than just me? Or maybe just normal product line turnover.

The site in my signature is my own that i recently created and as a knife lover i am spreading my experience and knowledge about knives. I didn’t see anything in the forum rules about inclusion in signatures and as such didn’t think much about it. If it is against the site rules or policy i will gladly remove it. I was not trying to promote or push my site, it is just standard to put things like that in signatures so other people can get to know me and my hobbies and interests.

There are so many options and ideas. Since i like to hunt and camp i have quite a few different lights for different uses, however. i have tried and gone through quite a few to find the perfect EDC light that works for me and my uses. Now, since the last one i liked so much broke on me twice in the same way i need to look around a bit to see what others are using that may work just as well for me. Thanks for the welcome.

BLF gets plenty of spammers that link to commercial sites in their signature, many of which make money off of Amazon affiliate links, but since it's your own site, it's all good.

Very nice, thanks. Looks like a great replacement and much more durable that the 5.11 i had. The synergy 1 bfg might have to make it’s way onto my Xmas list.
