Has anyone tried either of these lights or any of the other EDI-T lights and if so what are they like and are they any good for modding, I’ve put a couple of links below although I’m not sure if these are genuine ones or copies and happen to be out of stock at the moment as well
I’m guessing these aren’t that widely sold and hence why I haven’t had a reply at all … does anyone happen to have one and can make any comment on them???
I have the EDI-T T34, was 3xAAA, I turned to 18650 by changing the reflector (shorter, to give space to the battery) I also changed the driver and the LED with an XM-L; It is not bad but it has had its day.
These are really ancient, even before my time . Both are sold out and were intro'd in 2011. I've had bad experiences with an EDI-T light. I bought this one, maybe two (http://www.dx.com/p/edi-t-p14-cree-q3-1-mode-250lm-convex-lens-white-led-flashlight-1-x-18650-104998#.V6fCAfkrLmE), and were not worth modding in my opinion - still may have 1 or 2 on the DED-Not-Worth-The-Effort shelf.
This shape remind me of a Novatac 120X.
Or HDS
Thanks for the input … although doesn’t sound overly great …… what a shame as on the surface they seemed to be offering some quite nice looking compact zoomies which there seems to be a shortage of
really liked this one which was only 10.7cm

And if you scroll down the page apparently it’s available as an 18650 as well as AAA.
Wish one of the better names like Fenix or Zebra or Olight did a really small compact 18650 zoomie … think it’d be great buy maybe there’s just not the demand for them.
