Finally got a dropin (yanked it out of a 502b) for mine and loving it. I plan on using it on a gun as soon as the rest of the parts show up. My only complaint is that it’s a forward clicky, but that is easily fixed (mine is getting a pressure pad anyways). You can run it on one 18650, one or two 18350s, one or two CR123s, etc. Solidly built, excellent machining and surprisingly quick shipping for hong kong.
Thanks ! Any reason for picking the L2M ? I am looking at the site and the L2M / L2 / L2T ect all look similar except for styling ?
Can’t decide which one to pick lol. Then there is the forward clicky vs reverse clicky… Some googling shows to go forward because the 3x nichia dropin is only single mode ?
EDIT:
Ordered the L2P in Dark Grey due to Type III Anodizing. Hopefully this works with the Sportac (owned by Eagletac it seems) P60 3x Nichia dropin I ordered
$40 for the dropin
$20 for the host
$60 total shipped. Not too shabby for a triple Nichia 219 eh ? Single mode only but I don’t really care for modes lol. So long as I can turn it on and off !
They say 676 ANSI FL-1 lumens and 900 LED lumens for the Nichia.
Seeing as it’s from Eagletac who are usually conservative when it comes to lumen ratings (or so I have read), it should be pretty bright compared to a cheap Chinese knockoff right ?
I mean it’s probably equivalent to 1500 ish Chinese lumens lol
The three little holes in the optic is for 5mm LED ? Would be awesome if there is 3 5mm red LED.
This thing is only single mode ? Really ? Its totally useless then… Only useful for police or defence use…
Those are posts that connect the optic to the emitter board. Somebody on Craving Personal Fungus drills them and installs trits, which seems pretty cool albeit expensive-ish.
I’d be interested to know which optic is used in that dropin… Carclo does narrow, medium, and wide. (Don’t get excited about the narrow being a thrower — it’s just narrower than their others.)
