I have a 30 lumen light that outshines this thing.
Didn’t notice the specs that say working current 100-200mah, yet they claim 7 watts and 400 lumen. Shame on me.
It does not even get much brighter on a 14500 than the 1.2 NiMh.
And when you zoom down on the led it does not have the familiar Keystone shape of the Q5, it is square and looks like it has leads that are at the 9-3 positions. Any idea what emitter it might actually be?
But for $5.67 it will cost more to send it back than it’s worth.
So I guess it will become something to mod if I come across a better emitter on another junker.
Should I even bother to contact the seller?
Anyone else have this fine specimen?
Thanks,
Keith
If it’s not a cree as claimed in the description, do an ebay dispute and you shouldn’t have to pay anything to ship it back (if you have to do it at all). OTOH, you shouldn’t have expected a cree for that price.
Maybe I just got a lemon, I went through some of their feedback and others have liked the light, so I don’t know.
It’s only $5 so I am not going to make a big stink about it.
Just was hoping for a hidden gem, No Pearl here, just a hunk of sand
On the bright side the SK68 clone I got today has 3 modes so I am real happy with that.
Sucker is real bright with a 14500 too.
Took forever to get but worth the wait.
The emitter is most assured not a cree on the (not sk68) light. Bond wires at 3/9 implies cheapo chinese led. So do an ebay dispute and you’ll get your money back.
After reading through seller’s negative feedbacks, at least 4 other buyers complained about exact same thing, fake Cree and only approx 30 Lumen.
Also my light does not say Ultrafire on it as the auction states and shows.
Another customer said they got a fake Ultrafire C8, these guys maybe can’t be trusted.
I have nothing against fakes if they are well built fakes.
