Just a minor nuisance, but is there a way for email notifications to be configured so that when I click on the link in the email, it takes me to my unread posts, regardless of the number of pages a thread has? If the thread fits in a single page, it properly jumps to the new post(s), but if it's two pages or more, it just gets stuck on the first page. Does this have to do with my 300 posts per page setting? :)
I believe the "unread" posts are based on your cookies when you are signed in. I think as long as you're signed in, with a browser open to BLF either on your phone/computer, clicking on the link through your email should bring you to the unread posts in that thread. I could be wrong...
Anyone want to try and report back?
You’re are absolutely correct. It works fine and all, just not when there are more than a page of comments. Then the link simply opens up the top of the first page.
Direct links to a specific post in a thread don't work either, if the post being linked to isn't on the first page of a thread.
Next time you get a notification, open the front page showing the recent posts and compare the link in your email to the 'X new' link in the replies column. The one in the email is missing the '?page=X' part of the URL.
