Fortunately, Hank is offering my favorite configuration: 9x XP-L HI V2 5D 4.000K + 3x SST-20 DR 660nm with red switch backlight. 8^)
I have totally fallen in love for buying another K9.3 with 9x E21A 2.000K R9050 + 3x Osram W1 Yellow but my wallet is bleeding to death already... :((

If thats the case would W1 yellow throw the furthest of the options?

Not really sure what i would want yet.
Thought there would be option or at least mention of buying head only for this and K1 as the battery tube looks the same.
Maybe no one care to save extra 20-30? (just guessing how much tube only is worth)

For those who haven’t had the pleasure of the 2000K… my KR4 runs all day - it’s like a soft golden sunset all day in my basement office. It sits on the dinner table when we eat and by my favorite chair when I read books at night. I have four 18650s devoted to that light which I cycle through

That D18 sounds awesome! I don’t have a red light yet. Mine is 2700/4000 and fits perfectly in my hand. Great for walks at night with the kids when you don’t want to blind everyone with 6500k light

Couldn’t you just tint-mix a D18 and get double the lumens for less money?

The E21A 2000k is awesome. I despised it the first time I turned it on in the daytime. But after a while, I fell in love with the warm cozy tint. Once your eyes adjust it is no longer overly warm. I use it all the time at night.

Too bad there isn’t an option for E21A for Channel 2. XPL-HI 5D for channel 1 and E21A 2000k for channel 2 would be perfect.

Yep it’s too warm for walking around outside. The even mix of 2700’s and 4000’s in the D18 is perfect though

Hey I’m new to this hobby. Can you explain why you like the two configurations you describe? Especially this one. I want you to convince me so I can buy (:

And why the Osram yellow on the other build? Does that get you throw? Warmer color than 6500 I’m guessing?
