To get into the strobe modes from off click 3 times and hold on the last click. (or click click hold)That should bring you into
- Candle mode
Bike flasher
Party strobe
Tactical strobe
Lightning storm mode
and double click to switch between the modes. To turn off click once. The last-used strobe mode is remembered, so it will return to whichever one you used last, so if you never used it then it should be in candle mode.
For most of its commercial life span, the D1 has been shipping with RampingIOS V2 firmware… which doesn’t have a strobe mode. Emisar now has an option to get it with Anduril instead, which is nice. In any case, if the light goes into a blinky mode with “click, click, hold”, that means it has Anduril. If not, that implies it’s RampingIOS.
Thank you very much. Now for 1 click- on / off. 2 clicks- turbo. 3 click and hold on the last click-strobe (not quite bright).
How to check the battery charge with these settings?
Can I increase the brightness of the strobe?
Anyone else notice the countdown clock on the page for the Emisar D1? None of the other pages have it, does that mean it’s just the sale price timeline, perhaps?
I asked Hank via eMail, there are no plans for a D1V2 currently.
I have a question to anyone who has ordered a D1 recently: does the flashlight have the new flashing vias, i.e. is it compatible with the Emisar firmware flashing dongle?
I just got the D1 last week, it does have the flashing pads. Have not tried to flash it, I just know it has the firmware where it blinks out the firmware date with 15 clicks. Unsure what version that is Oct/15/2019 I believe? Looks like it’s back on sale at $35 or that’s just the new price.
Thanks @atobe. I might have to get one with a SST-40 5000K :)
Your firmware is pretty new since it has the firmware version option. Would recommend to not update it at the moment, the recent versions are kind of beta.
I know it’s been a while since this has been released but just an update on a recently sold d1 with slight use that sold on ebay for a whopping $162.50. At 4 times the original price.
Bit of an old thread bump, I don’t recall my old D1 acting up before but on tailstanding it will gradually dim down. Three clicks for batt voltage then two for temp gives 4 long flashes and 3 short. Surely the light doesn’t think it’s 43C when cold?!
