I would love to have a d1s but it looks like they aren’t coming back.

What currently available light is closest in size, throw and efficiency/runtime (both turbo runtime and overall runtime)?

Lumintop GT mini

Blf gt mini or micro, or Eagletac Tx25c2 or Tx25c would be my guess. Nitecore mh20gt. They come close but D1s was a winner. Fw1a has potential. Hopefully someone can debate my choices

I had an MH20GT and L16. L16 outthrows the MH20GT but you can only really tell the difference at 100m+. The hotspot is the exact same size. GT mini has a smaller hotspot and clearly outthrows the L16 so it should destroy the MH20GT. I measured 550m for the L16 and 750m for the GT mini. MH20GT is meant to be about 400m. Seems like a good replacement for the D1 if you want regulated output and USB charging.

I have Hank’s D1, D1S, D4 and D4V2 and my D1S will light up the side of my Costco, 600 yards across a lake that I live on!
