I believe my Emisar D4 has taken its last fall. Light started out stock, I modded it by separating one chip to the red led, and the other 3 and the fet to the remainder xpl-hi leds. Custom Lexel driver. Reworked Anduril UI to get features I wanted.
It was a house light and dog walker its first year then went into heavy service.
It didn’t have a magnetic tailcap so I epoxied one on (at least 3 times) Sometimes it would last for several falls others the first. I then moved to JB weld. With about the same results.
I would guess its had close to 100 falls from 3 to 6 feet. Getting abused doing mechanic work. Was lost several times to be found stuck to a vehicle. Its went through the wash at least 3 time that I can remember.
I could probably tear it down and get it going again, and might some day. But today I brought out the Black D4 that has been waiting for its turn. So for now its setting on window ledge.
