Hi, if somebody is interested in this:
I’ve got a D4K with UV emitters in channel 1. It came with Noctigon K9.3-nofet Anduril (date 12/13/2020) and I’ld like to have a newer one, so I flashed emisar-2ch. But I was not very happy with this, because it’s difficult to switch off the channel modes I don’t like (it doesn’t make sense/ it’s dangerous to use the UV emitters together with the 519A’s, so I just want the modes channel1 alone and channel 2 alone). So I modified the hwdef-emisar-2ch and set: #define CHANNEL_MODES_ENABLED 0b0000000000000011
Now I have only the channel modes I’m interested in and don’t need to configure them.
Updated mine with wolfgirl42’s (aka SiteRelEnby over at r/flashlight) updated hexes and have been extremely happy… I used the K9.3 file as that was the model originally flashed to it, and it’s working nicely.

It includes the ability to select what channel configurations you want - you can deactivate everything except Ch1 & Ch2 by themselves if you’d like - but it also includes some other new fun stuff like “soft start & stop” (the light doesn’t just immediately turn on, there’s a really nice “ramp on” or “ramp off” - love it!) and “smooth stepped” mode (stepped output levels rather than smooth ramp, BUT the quick little ramp up or down from each level, like with on & off, is there - looks great!) along with some other fun stuff in the blinky modes where you can adjust whether the blinky mode you’re uses one channel or the other only, both channels together, alternates between channels, just the switch LED’s and it’s a couple other things I’m forgetting…

Yes, you are totally right. The only point is, that I had difficulties to switch off the channel modes I don’t want to use, that means to distinguish the modes on using 9H …
therefore the only thing I did was to set the default of enabled modes to the two ones in which only one channel is active.
I’m using the 2ch version because I read in the sources that the 9.3 version is identical to the 2ch version and the 9.3 is only there for legacy reasons and one should use the 2ch instead.
Interesting, I don’t think I saw that along the way.
I kinda suspected the 2ch hexes were trying to simplify the tangled web a bit, but figured I’d just stick with what I’ve always done - identify & update with most recent of that type.
Maybe I’ll do some testing on one of my 2ch lights here soon & see if I screw anything up.
