Emisar D4V2 temp check/calibration

I love my D4V2, but it gets too hot in turbo for my preferences. When I use the temp check mode, the light blinks 8 times pauses, 8 times, pauses, etc. Does that mean the light is saying it is calibrated to 8C (46F)?
So I need to go into thermal config and click 21 times (the room I’m in is 71 degrees). Once I set that, what is a good temp to set for the temp limit? Anduril default is 45C which should be ok but my guess is that the current calibration of 8C is messing that up. Is that correct?

Ok after setting the current temp to 21c I can confirm that the turbo mode steps down enough that I’m not afraid of burning my hand. Before calibrating it would get so hot I think I could have cooked a (tiny) egg on it.

Melted my jogging trousers pockets twice.

Must remember physical lookout.

The tempcheck mode blinks out what it thinks the current temperature is. So it thought it was cold.

The easiest and recommended way to fix this is to use the factory reset function once, after letting the light settle to about 21 C / 70 F. That allows it to auto-calibrate.

To do this, loosen the tailcap, hold the button, tighten the tailcap, then keep holding the button for about 3 seconds until it makes a bright flash.

It sounds like you already got things taken care of, but this info is here to help anyone else who might run into a similar issue.
