ONE LEFT AS OF 12-21-13 6:24 PM Central time.

Up for sale are these Defiant 3xaaa lights. They have been modified.

They have an XM-L led in them. Somewhere between 5600k and 6600k. Both should be T6.

They have the stock plastic lens and plastic reflector.

The drivers are 8x7135 drivers from FT and they have 5 modes - H/M/L/Strobe/SOS

The amp draws were 2800mA on high, 800mA on medium and 120mA on low

I added a PVC sleeve for use with the 14500 battery. You will need an Efest or other IMR 14500 to get 2800mA on high.

I can add beam shots later on tonight, but it's just a nice bright, large hot spot, with some spill. Good for general use, not a thrower.

Price is $25 each Shipping included CONUS ONLY

Payment is PayPal oldlumens(insert the @ sign here)gmail.com

Post here that you want the last one and include a payment and a PM to me with your full name and address.

Thanks.

I will take one. PP $ now.thanks

Thanks,

Would be so kind as to give me what you think would be a fair price on this type of battery. I found them around $5.35 each for a 700mAh. I have never bought any before. Also, the battery I find shows 700mAh. Am I reading your statement wrong? Should I be looking for a 2800mA?
A link to what & where would be outstanding. Thank you for helping the new guy.

Btw, Not to sound too cheesy, but I am pumped about getting this light.

700mAh is the capacity of a standard Efest IMR unprotected 14500 cell.

This IMR cell will give you 2800mA current to the LED on high.

its not related to capacity. Imr batteries can discharge at higher current and they maintain decent voltage during high current draw.
If ur battery 700mah, then u will get 700/2800=0.25 hour runtime theoritically. Normally imr cells have lower capacity than regular cells.

Ok, got it now. Thanks guys for your time helping me out & the fast response. Yall are the best.

I get my Efest IMR from ebay. Just do an ebay search for " Efest 14500 " and select USA only and you will get the results. My price would be the same as their price.

Did exactly what you said. Ordered 4 for $5 each. Thank you.

we also have US battery seller mtnelectronics:

Efest IMR 14500

unprotected Sanyo - these would work too. I left out the Protected version cause the protection circuit kicks in around 3A.

I wanted to throw this out there so people know of other options.

I just found out about them this morning. lol I signed up and will make future purchases with them. From what I read, they have good customer service too.

Will be ordering my next Keeppowers from them, they beat Chinese prices.

for KeepPower cells do you mean e2fieldgear?

right now I don't see mtnelectronics carrying KeepPower. Try "Grid" display - my preferred method to see All the batteries at once.

BTW the modded Defiant looks good.

These but they aren’t Keeppower, thought they were when I saw them because of the black color. Think they use the same protection circuit as KP, probably made by KP and unbradded. But I could be wrong, just guessing.

My little boy has what looks to be the same light, his grandpa bought it for him up in Idaho at a Costco or an athletic store, can’t remember. It’s a TechLite called a Lumen Master, with a smooth reflector and what looks to be an XR-E emitter. The tail cap is clear and blinks red when the battery is down. Glows solid red for a few seconds when a fresh cell is put in. It’s surprisingly bright, with very nice throw. Reviews say they’re crap, but Daniel got his when he was 3 going on 4 and he’s now 6. The ano is wearing off, it’s got a few dents, but is going strong.

I put a copper sleeve in it to assist heat dispersion and run an 18500 Protected cell. He was going through those 3 AAA waaaay too fast.

If it’s the same little light as his, it’s a good light.

Still one for sale ---------

Shouldn't a Sanyo 18500 to be able to supply 3A as well? They're 1700mAH.

If the OAL is no longer than a 14500, yes, but I don’t have a sleeve for that size, so it would rattle.

I use 3/4-inch plastic irrigation pipe, $0.40/ft at Ace Hardware. It comes coiled, but in very short lengths the curvature isn't a problem. Cut to length, slit lengthwise removing as much as you need to allow it to tighten around the cell. Great stuff. I used 2 pieces, 1 slit and cut down for AA diameter inside an un-slit length to make an adapter to use 3 Duraloops in place of the 3 C-cells in a DST. Working amazingly well while I'm waiting for a deal on Tenergy C's. It's a soft plastic so it doesn't rattle like those PVC sleeves plus it's very cheap and you can buy as little as one foot.
