My FT02 prototype has close to 700m throw (120Kcd+). You can expect higher readings for retail version, as FT02 undergo driver upgrade and better polishing for its reflector.

Will they change the battery compartment to support flat top 21700 batteries before they start to ship the orders?

Maukka and manufacturer do not have problem using their Samsung flat top. However, my stock LiShen unprotected 21700 will not work with this light because of the size of anode connector is too big for the opening.

Manufacturer will look into this issue.

My unprotected flat top LiitoKala 21700 4000mAh battery which is supposedly a Lishen does work just fine.

Freeme, is there any update on the quiescent current? I don’t want a dead battery after a month sitting idle. Thanks.

It consumes about 5mA of the battery with breathing light ON. You can further reduce the drain by disabling the breathing function for final retail version. (Note: unable to disable on prototype due to incomplete firmware).

When not in use for long periods, just turn the tail cap for zero parasitic drain.

ooof, put that into perspective with the standby drain of the Q8: 0,135mA with the switch LED being shiny!
Isn’t this a bit too much? It would drain a 4000mAh battery in a bit more than 33 days o.O

All torches I have and I have several of them, have drainage below 0.1mA. All torches with an electronic side switch. Such a large consumption as FT02 has is a big drawback for me. It reminds me of Haikelite products, which also have such problems. I had HT07S HI and had 6mA.
