endoscope recommendations?

Howdy, does anyone have experience with any of these? I recently purchased a handheld unit with a 3”screen and about a 3 foot flexible neck from Harbor Freight and found it to be less than expected, to put it mildly. Price was $80.

Can this http://www.gearbest.com/microscopes-endoscope/pp_235117.html#customer_review really be a decent product for $14? I would like to buy a laptop compatible unit, with decent optics for as little cost as possible (gee, where have we heard that line before?) and I would feel better buying something that a fellow member may know of. That is “if” anyone has a view on these types of cameras. They are handy to have and if they are making them this inexpensive, it’s time to finally get one worth keeping.

Thanks and

enjoy your day/night

Actually, I have two of those - purchased from eBay a little cheaper than GB’s listing, but looks the same. I have a 2m and a 7m long version.
I’ve found it VERY handy for running wire inside a wall, past spots that would otherwise be impossible without cutting open the wall.
Resolution isn’t spectacular, but focus is sharp (for a limited distance from the lens), more than adequate for identifying unknown obstacles in a wall. Led light is also adequate, and adjustable. Overall you can tell it’s not a fine precision instrument, but at a discount of about 95% compared to the really fancy ones, it’s a great bargain. Recommended!

Here’s a random ebay one: 5m for about $6. No experience or affiliation with the seller; just for price comparison…

I bought one to experiment with. They do have an in-built LED for lighting the area you are looking at. I can adjust the brightness.

If your laptop can handle a Web Camera, then it should work as-is. Simply have the PC detect it once plugged in, and select it as the camera.
Simple, cheap and works well.

With an usb otg you can also view this on a tablet or mobile phone, and they also sell them with a micro usb so you don’t need an usb otg cable.

I bought one a couple of months ago just to play around with and for that purpose it’s good enough. I can’t compare it to other models but it works.
I bought it on ebay for 6$ and it was called 6 LED 7mm Lens Snake Inspection Endoscope Waterproof Borescope Tube Camera 2M

Got a 10M long one.
This aso plugs into pc as webcam.
Very usefull (in an old part of our mill that used to be the housing for the worker and was build about 400 years ago there was a hole over and strange covered pitt. We examined it and discovered this to be a ancient pipe where water was pumped into the room with a handpump and also got drained. Very usefull information since it ends in the millstream. The previous owners did say that wit real high water that room would beome wet. I closed it up and a month ago the water was higher then we ever seen it and the room stayed dry.)

Our look about the same and costs me some $20. I just can’t find where I bought it, but would use AliExpress to get it now, if t is not working you’ll be refunded the easiest there.
I got a 1 LED one, the thinner the head the easier it slides through and the smaller the holes can be.

The picture quality sounds good enough for the money spent! Favorable enough reviews to go ahead and get one.

I appreciate all the help.
