I received mine last week. It is an excellent light and very bright. The UI is nice. Finish and build quality is excellent. I compared it to my Nitecore EDC23 and the Rofis is slightly brighter with a more concentrated hotspot/beam.

Comparison of ROFIS MR30 vs Sofirn SP32A. The torches are similar in size and performance, ROFIS is a bit wider.

I do not have a SP32A, but i do have a SP31 (XP-L, NW) with me for comparison.

Image is exposed close to what you see with naked eyes.

Beams are underexposed to show the intensity their hot spot and size.

Thanks Freeme! I was actually hoping for the newer Sofirn SP32A (1300 lumen) beamshot vs the Rofis. I actually just got my first SP32A today so I will compare it to the Rofis MR30 and the new Thrunite TC15 and post my findings soon! I might do a 4-way test with the Nitecore EDC23 in that group.

I would like to share with you my bad experience I had with Rofis‘ customer service. My MR30, purchased at Banggood, has obviously some flaws that cannot be resolved easily. In a nutshell, the boost driver of my MR30 is not capable to maintain or even activate the turbo level when cell voltage reaches 3.9V. Instead the light fails to operate, see video in my link below. The driver spring looks suspicious as potentially fused by improper usage prior to receipt by me. My MR30 will not work with unprotected standard sized 21700 batteries that I bought to use with this flashlight.

This is the response I got from Rofis customer service upon my kind request for assistance to resolve the issues I have with my MR30. It clearly points out that their boost driver is of poor quality not capable to ensure the turbo level below 3.85V (more than 50% capacity left) and that - in contradiction to their advertisement on the packaging - the MR30 only works with 21700 with protection circuit. From other MR30 owners I have heard their flashlight‘s turbo level works until cell voltage drops down to 3.5V and that unprotected 21700 batteries work just fine.

Our MR30 uses a 21700 battery with a protective plate.
If you are not working with a battery with a protective plate,
you need to consider the compatibility of the protective plate with the flashlight.

Regarding the trubo, the battery needs to be implemented at 3.85V.
Below this voltage, the flashlight will not run trubo or shut down.

Bottom line: So far so bad for the 5 year warranty that is worthless! No help from Rofis to resolve clearly obvious flaws on my MR30 but a cocky last phrase to encourage me suggesting ideas for a better boost driver. :person_facepalming:

This will be my second (along with the MR70) and my last Rofis flashlight.
