I mean even if you took the springs out, it doesn’t fit because of the inner metal parts interfere at both ends. It’s not the width that’s the issue.

Are you sure three 5200s wouldn’t fit?
The Panas are a bit shorter but also thinner, so they don’t get interference from the silver ring in the tail cap for example.
