F150R vs XHP70.3 HI vs SFT70 vs NTG50 - Emisar DA1K emitter options - torn

I’m interested in a DA1K, but I’m a bit torn between the XHP70.3 in 4000k vs the F150R in 4000k. I understand the F150K has a pretty insane output, but the XHP will have better color rendering. I’m particularly interested in how each would perform in moonlight, as a very dim moonlight mode is just a nice feature, but I haven’t seen any examples of the F150R and Lume N1 at its dimmest setting.

Which would you recommend and why?

I am also open to other options like the SFT70 3000k or NTG50 4200k, but I do already own other high CRI lights and am looking for a bit of a powerhouse in a fairly neutral tint with a little more throw than my 519A equipped D4K. Thanks!

I have lights with all of the emitter options you’ve noted.
Hands down, NTG50 4200k is my favorite of them.
My DA1K has the ntg50 4200k and it’s great.
I have a KR1K and KR1AA with it as well.
I also put one in my Wurkkos TS28.

I have a KR1AA with the sft70 3000k and it is nice, but I like the ntg KR1AA better.

Interesting suggestion. I have twice now ordered a Hank light with NTG35s and then emailed him to change the order to 519As because I feared they’d just be too rosy for my taste. (I really like the very neutral/slight negative duv of the 519a) The tint mixing of my dual channel D4k between 1800k and 4000k is already about as rosy as I can tolerate.

My thinking was that the F150R would be quite a bit brighter than other options, and that it and the cree would be closer to neutral duv than the NTG50. Am I mistaken?

As Hank doesn’t yet have any specs posted for the F150R, and there really aren’t many reviews of it yet, I’m wondering just how they compare to each other. Maybe I need to wait for more info before I decide?

Much appreciate your recommendation and I’ll keep this option in mind for sure.

If you’d prefer to lean more neutral than rosy, the sft70 or f150 would probably be better options.
The ntg are definitely a little more rosy.

I put an F150 4000k into a Convoy M21 and it is nice for output, but I’ve been leaning more towards high cri in all my lights lately.

I don’t have an sft70 in anything larger than the kr1aa, but would assume it would be even better with the larger optic.

M21K was on the dimmest setting, so I tried to match the brightness of the other lights to it.
