So I have a couple flashlights that hold multiple cells in a carrier, before inserted into the flashlight. A couple of them are pretty hard to get the batteries out without using some kind of tool, or by banging it on the counter. I know I know...
There are some other products out there that have a thin piece of fabric glued underneath it that you can just pull on to release the battery. I would like to find and buy it, but I have no idea what it's called. It's usually extremely thin, but 1/2" wide so it can grab+pull the batteries out of the carrier.
Anybody know what it's called? I could just visit a craft store, but I wouldn't know where to look in there either.

Taffeta or any kind of ribbon
I use something like this that I took from my wife’s stuff.

From the ones that I’ve seen, I think any ribbon you pick up from the craft store would do the trick.
Naturally, don’t get something that won’t hold up to repeated stress (like lace), but otherwise you don’t need to be picky.
When you cut it, do it at an angle and use glue/a candle on it, to prevent the ribbon from fraying and eventually coming apart.
that looks like the stuff I’ve seen. Thanks!
