Fake LED Lenser on UK TV Show

Found this interesting, UK tv show called fake Britain had a segment about fake Torches, flashlights to people from the US.

Although did find the security guard amusing when he mentioned that torches were “mission critical”
anyone would think he was in charge of the SAS’s or a Seal Teams equipment!

Also why do so called professionals opt for LED Lenser, overrated imho I prefer Olight, Soalrforce, Klarus, Tank, Thrunite brands myself

Section is near to the end of the show, 36 mins in!

You can use a UK proxy server to view from the US

Could you upload it to YouTube instead, it can be viewed even in space!

Professionals opt for LED Lenser due to it’s high market presence, high quality constriction, excellent support and warranty, great optics, and simplicity to use. It may not be the choice of flashaholics who “know better”, have better awareness of other brands and prices. But for the “unenlightened”, you can’t go too far wrong with LED Lensers.

Strange though that the “unenlightened” don’t realise their brightness falls off the edge of cliff with the majority of their models minutes after switching them on …. and falls to a pitifully low level not long afterwards.

A bit harsh. Some of the electronically controlled LED Lensers have reasonably fast stepdowns, though this depends on the model. The direct drive LED Lenser models (such as the popular P7.2) have a great discharge curve when using NiMH.

Anyway, there are plenty of “flashaholic” light manufacturers that have rather significant step-downs within seconds to a few minutes so that they can advertise high lumen outputs. There are plenty of offenders in this area!

Was that really a fake Lenser, or was it just one of the cheaper ones without a warranty, like Fasttech used to have?

That show is embarrassing at times, I certainly wouldn’t recommend an overprices LEDLenser @ £60 quid. You can get similar in quality for circa £30

I chopped the video and uploaded it here, may get taken down by YouTube though

To me this segment seemed more of a paid advertisement for led lenser than about counterfeit torches.
