Fake Nicore UM10's, BEST SOLUTION via Banggood member help?

I started a new/separate thread to find a practical and efficient solution to the 8 each UM10 chargers I just received.

There are already countless posts of opinions and experiences relating to other fakes in the market so there isn’t any reason to generate another long opinion thread. In addition I am sure Banggood is not the only supplier and is not at fault, so please don’t turn this into a common complaint discussion. I would like to keep this as simple as possible for all involved.

Out of respect for BLF AND BANGGOOD, I am only asking if there are any current members associated with both websites that will be willing to help correct this. If possible I would like to avoid Paypals involvement but I am not ruling that out at this time. I know, I know, some are about to post “file a paypal claim immediately”, but I’d like to think it won’t be necessary. I hope I am right.

Hello Banggood fellow BLF member, please help resolve this efficiently. THANKS

Is anyone able to bring up Nitecores validation sight? I am not

Just a Coincidence if I am alone with this, and my pc has an invader

Have you tried the barcode scanner on the box?

Some confusion still going on to be able to confirm each packages authenticity. I was finally able to access Nitcores validation site, which I must say does a poor job of providing a friendly security code process. The lettering they want you to type in is sophmoric IMO. It took 5 attempts to correctly guess which security characters they wanted. It was hard to tell if they were Capitol or small case letters.

Bottom line: Nitecore validation codes are confirmed legit.

Consider though that I have no choice but to address the following:

2nd bottom line: Nitecores claim of non magnetic materials used is inaccurate if the validation code has not compromised.

http://charger.nitecore.com/identification-guide-nitecore-charger-users Dated 10-30-2014

It states “the positive contact and negative slide rail are made of copper and non magnetic”. My rails are magnetic.

So, which is correct? According to Nitecore I have a legit code but non-conforming slide rails.

I think some of the problems regarding inconsistent feedback on the chargers is because, regardless of what Nitecore want you to think, I believe these are made by other companies. We know of course that its common practice, liitokala 100 and manker e01 are two products we have recently that are clearly made this way and, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. Unless of course the company making the product decides to use cheaper or different materials from charger to charger and Nitecore either don’t know or don’t care. Then you have confusion.

So basically there is no way to confirm authenticity?
I’d just stay well clear of that brand if we can’t even rely on “authenticity codes”.

Yes. I think you hit the nail on the head. If there are questions over a certain companies products and they offer no help or support and in some cases cause more confusion, then my stance is stay clear. There are a lot of good products out there, we have lots of choice nowadays.

I believe they are talking about the i4 charger in that link, and you’re talking about a UM10. The positive contacts on my two D2’s, UM10, & UM20 are non-magnetic. The slide rails on my D2’s are non-magnetic as well. The UM10 & 20 doesn’t have slide rails. (at least none that I can see)

The negative tab is magnetic on all of them, but not the slide rails. Nitecore is talking about the slide rails, not the negative side tab

D2

UM20 (same as the UM10)
