Fandyfire STL-V6 batterys

 think that’s a good idea Qld cup, recon it might be a few more year before NSW can win it.

need to order some of those batteries to while I remember have to use unprotected till new ones show up, just will check them with the multimeter they will be I am sure!

I think I’ll just sell it when it arrives then and buy something else like the Crelant 7G5CS.

Sure it’s more than twice the price but I’ve just spent a mint on a heap of good batteries, don’t really want to spend more on some batteries that aren’t as good.

I have just tried the TF Protected Batteries in the V6 and they do fit, and it didn’t cave the Negative end in like it did on the Panasonics. Even with TF’s in i would not be doing the Cap up all the way, just back it up a fraction of a turn. If you do it up most of the way you are past the seal and if it is lubed it shouldn’t be a problem. These are the Trustfires http://www.fasttech.com/product/1050702 , the Eagletacs will probably be too expensive (i only have them because they came with a Fenix TK35 i bought). But i use those Trustfires in my Trustfire X6 SST-90 and they power that just fine and without any issues.
It pays to have a couple of different Types and sizes of Batteries as i found out, not all Torches like all Batteries. I have Eagletac 3100 Protected, Trustfire 2400 Protected, Panasonic 3100 & 3400 Protected & some Soshines, Sanyo’s & Laptop Batteries.
If you get rid of the V6 just because of Battery Fitment you will regret it, it is a Great Torch. But if you do, you could also consider the Small Sun ZY T13 as a Budget replacement. It isn’t quite as good as the V6 but it’s Close and as i have one i can tell you that it will take your Panasonics just fine.
Hope this Helps.
Cheers.

Thanks for that but it turns out it hasn’t actually shipped yet so have tried emailing Fasttech to cancel it and have already ordered the Crelant 7G5CS.
