Noob here… what’s the difference between the two , they look exactly the same, same description different price.
Mmmm convoy s2 is cheaper…
One has the T6-3C emitter and the other says it has a T6-1A which is apparently about 7000K tint.
I bought one of these after reading this thread just so I could see what the fuss was about, it’s a nice light, well finished but unfortunately flawed.
Firstly, it’s not possible to tighten properly so that the barrell and tail cap come together correctly.
Secondly, when you try to tighten them, the switch functions to turn it on (just) but then jams when you try and turn it off, you have to back the tail cap off half a turn for the switch to actuate and allow you to turn it off.
When you look closely you can see that there is a bit over half a millimetre distance between the barrell and the tail cap, when I take the switch assembly out then I can tighten them correctly so they’re flush.
I’ve reported this to fasttech who want me to do a video, sigh.
Will report how it goes, the measure of a company is how they deal with problems, because everyone can sell goods but not everyone can fix problems
Cheers,
John
Have you tried it with a shorter battery? It seems to me I recall something about protected batteries being too long for them.
the tail cap issue sounds like the rubber on the boot has too large of an protrusion
It’s not the battery, it exhibits the same behaviour with or without a battery inside.
Which part is the protrusion?
The part that contacts the switch?
The lip (inside the tail cap) of the rubber boot is 2.3mm, the washer is 1mm, the switch including pcb is 5.35mm and the brass screw in bit is approx 0.7mm
All up it extends approx 9.3mm into the tail cap, the thread of the barrell is 15mm while the tail cap has approx 23.4mm of space, resulting in approx 1mm too little space for it to screw flush.
Normally the center of the rubber boot has a protrusion that contacts the button on the switch. It needs to be short enough that when you let off pressure, it does not put pressure on the switch. Or else the switch stays pressed on wont turn off
Yeah, my bad. The link titles are the same but the links are different. The first is a 1A tint emitter and the second is a 3C tint emitter. I have corrected the original post. Sorry about that. :8)

Got it, yes, it’s short enough.
When the tail cap is tightened and the switch is jammed, I can feel the gap between the boot and the switch, so it’s not in permanent contact.
Looks like $15.98 for 1A and $19.42 for 3C now.
