I'm sorry you're having a problem with your new light, but Nitecore's quality control sucks. I know first hand because my first EA4 came with a cross threaded bezel. My second one's switch boot cracked after very little use. Needless to say, I will never buy another Nitecore. BTW, there's no excuse for Nitecore's screw up on your sample. They should be ashamed of themselves.
As far as Fasttech's service from my personal experience, I have no complaints..
Personally I think NiteCore is failing with their quality assurance from factory,
I Have 3x NC products
EA1 - offset emitter
i4 - the housing just bust part recently the rear section just popped open due to the spring force of the battery sliders –3 months old
EA4- switch ballooning issues.
Not sure if I would buy any other products at this stage?

I didn't get my replacement yet from my original complaint I posted in another thread. But I'm not taking any chances with the new one. I'm just going to sell it.
That is a pretty deformed head, FastTech you replace it immediately, no questions asked.
They should pay your return shipping as well, since it isn’t your fault.
However, FT would appreciate it more if you could find a cheaper shipping method.
