Faulty/Buggy Fireflylite E07X Cannon FFL351A 1800k

Hi everyone! It’s my first time writing on the forum, so hope I’m posting in the right place.

Recently I purchased a new Fireflylite E07X Canon from eBay. I love the light quality from this torch but sadly seem to be having some issues with it:

#1. On trying to set the top of the ramp (both stepped and smooth), a malfunction occurred, blocking access to any levels other then a very dull.
The only way I could manage to get out of this was with a factory reset.

The above happened twice, so in the end I left the top of the ramps alone - it appears to be pretty close to (if not at), the maximum - which was where I wanted it, so that wasn’t such an issue. I proceeded to set up my preferences in Anduril, setting the floor of the ramp at level 5 which gave a beautiful faint glow, the stepped ramping to 8 steps & the smooth ramping to 1/4 speed.

#2. Potentially more seriously though, since internally recharging the cell, I lost access to the dull modes - both on smooth and stepped ramping. If I tried to adjust it as low as it would now go (on smooth ramping), the light flickers a lot.

Unfortunately a factory reset hasn’t fixed any of the above. It’s also become very difficult to programme, as the flashes/“buzzes” within the Anduril menus now aren’t showing. It also becomes frozen at times (it wouldn’t adjust brightness or turn off without unscrewing the tailcap).

#3. I left alone without cell for a couple of days (in the hope that a circuit problem might “reset”). However, it’s become increasingly unpredictable: Sometimes it won’t turn on at all, other times it will turn on but only at mid-range levels. Other times high levels work fine. Once it got stuck on red aux. Another time stuck on green aux. The only thing that is fully consistent, is that moonlight/firefly modes won’t work.

The above problems are present both in Simple and Advanced UI. I’ve tried running the battery down and recharging, and also tried fitting a different battery but it’s still not working. The seller has been very helpful in offering a full refund. However I’d love to find a fix if possible as I do really like the light (at least when it is functioning )

I’m really grateful if anyone can give advice that may fix it. I’m not experienced in soldering or flashing electronics, but have had a few Andurils & haven’t run into any of these problems before. Holding out that maybe there is something basic I’ve overlooked, or a known fix for this problem?

Cheers in advance, and thanks for this great forum! I’ve learned a lot already as a lurker here.

So many posts about how this was the best flashlight ever made when it was first introduced.

Have a nice time here, Chris_P!

Hello there
And cheers!

I know, that’s why I bought it! It is a fantastic light when it works

hi

not sure where did you buy this light. But currently we have no any official dealer to resell our light.

From your explaination , maybe you can try to clean all the contacts, driver / spring / battery contacts etc, dirty contacts will cause malfunctioning.
