Hey, guys I just received my Ferei BL200 from pinkbike., which looks amazing its a blue anodized one, just wondering the true LM as the box ~& manual says 1600LM but i checked with CREE’s website and its 1040LM per each XML and this puppy has 2 XML’s, The light is very quick to charge and its way to powerful for 1600LM to me it looks more than 1600LM any body got any ideas ?
1600 lumen sounds doable for two xm-ls, they’d need to be well driven though. What’s your frame of reference for it being more?
1600LM is from both led’s which is i personally i think abit low i dont know but here check out the cree’s website, i had a magicshine mj-880 and they said it was over 2000LM but to be honest the BL200 is more powerful and has a wider flood/throw

That’s what I mean, 800 lumens out the front each is plausible if they are driven at 3a each given magicshines various issues, I wouldn’t bet on it being 2000 lumen.
The 1040 lumen is emitter lumens, by the time the reflector and lense losses along with heat sag are taken into account, your doing well at 800 lumen each.
