I’m the kind of person that almost always defaults to FET and just ends up selecting the proper battery with the proper discharge (I know, I know, I’ll learn more about drivers eventually)
But I was wondering if there were limitations to FET drivers. In example, I have a 17mm MTN FET that I’m planning to push anywhere form 9-15 amps through. Should be fine… but what if I start playing with 20A+? Besides thermal issues, are there other limitations to running higher currents through a FET driver?
Depends on the resistance of the fet and your heatsinking. The stock fets on the mtn drivers are good, but not the best for really high currents. They will work though.
