Fire Foxes FF4 Spare Globe

was just wondering if i could get some info about the globe that is in the FF4? what type is it? where do i get a spare? is it a typical HID type bulb as normally a HID has a inner section which makes the arc and then a outer section that houses a inert gas if i’m correct? the FF4 only has the inner section without the outer globe bit

The sellers of the light sold spares back then. I don't think that it is a standard part.

yeah it seems a real shame that we cant retrofit it with a compatible globe. whilst i prefer LED flashlights it would be a shame to see the FF4 set aside as a dust collector just because the globe is burnt out! its still a cool flashlight imho…it was a great performer for its day and id like to see it preserved for the future…

I haven’t seen a spare lamp for it but it looks like a standard automotive bulb, and the cathode run through the reflector. Could be possible to hack something.
