Well thanks to you guys I now have the flashlight building bug!
Ultrafire UF-T20 Host
Mtn Electronics single mode 2amp driver
Mtn Electronics XP-E2 Led
I will say up front that the intent of this light is ONLY a highly visible beam.
Pardon the pictures, these are full auto pics straight off my phone. They do represent the beam near perfectly to real life, the background is a bit brighter then actual conditions at the time
This was out in a mild snow so the beam is far more visable then normal.

And my crappy soldering job. A new iron and a set of tips are on the way.

I am still working on the design. I have hopes that the green Ostam “White Flat” becomes available as it peaks are over 3x the lumens of this E2 which will help with clear weather visibility.
Next up is an eleptical beam XP-L HI in a M1 host.

More pictures.

This is on a very clear night (no snow, dust or rain to diffract the beam)

Nice. I completely forgot that green lasers show their beam and green LEDs might as well.
I will try that….
OK no more messing around now, you have to use one of these:
All you need is a 30A power source…
and about $160 to blow on an LED module…
